Malaysia-US Business Opportunities

A trade and investment delegation of about 50 business leaders
and senior government officials from Malaysia will be visiting
Detroit, led by Malaysia's Minister of International Trade &
Industry. In conjunction with this, the Malaysian Industrial
Development Authority in Chicago (MIDA Chicago) is organizing a
one-day Malaysian Business Conference.
This is a premier international conference held in the brand new
and luxurious MGM Grand Detroit. About 300 people from companies
and other organizations in the Detroit region and the surrounding
states are expected to attend this conference. This conference is
hosted by MIDA and there is no charge to attend.
The purpose of the delegation's visit is to seek partnerships
with US companies interested in doing business with Malaysia and to
identify business opportunities available for Malaysian companies
in the US, particularly the Detroit region.
Various local area organizations will be partnering with MIDA in
this program. These include Detroit Regional Economic Partnership,
Wayne County Department of Economic Development, Michigan Economic
Development Corporation, Detroit/Windsor World Trade Center, Asian
Pacific American Chamber of Commerce (APACC), Original Equipment
Suppliers Association (OESA), Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce
,Ann Arbor Spark, Sterling Heights Area Chamber of Commerce,
Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber, Dearborn Chamber of
Commerce, Greater Romulus Chamber of Commerce, Plymouth Community
Chamber of Commerce, Livonia Chamber of Commerce, Southfield
Chamber of Commerce, Auburn Hills Chamber of Commerce/City of
Auburn Hills, Toledo Regional Growth Partnership/Toledo Regional
