 AADL

The Ann Arbor District Library and the Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority are working actively to gather feedback from community members on two projects: the redesign/renovation of the Main Library downtown and the design of an underground parking structure on the South Fifth Avenue Parking lot. This survey will help the two design teams understand more about your values and priorities as they work to develop conceptual designs for the library and the parking structure.

In hopes of getting as much response as possible, they will draw the names of 2 respondents and the winners will receive a month of free parking and a $50 gift certificate to a local business. You will be notified by phone or email, based on your input at the end of the survey.

Ann Arbor SPARK Talent Mentoring Survey

SPARK

Ann Arbor SPARK is committed to helping develop and support critical talent that will help create and grow innovative companies in the region. As part of their ongoing efforts, they are researching the needs of individuals regarding formal mentoring and peer-learning programs. A key component of development is learning from others and sharing common experiences. This can be accomplished in many ways, including formal and informal introductions, internal company mentoring programs, mentoring programs that match a mentee with a mentor in another organization and professional groups that are centered around a particular function or industry.

Mentoring and peer programs have the potential to improve Michigan's competitive position, one company, one leader and one employee at a time. Additionally, a mentoring program with mentor training would enable employees to bring back these key learnings to their companies to implement their own mentoring and talent development programs.

They want to understand your peer learning and mentoring interests and needs. To this end, they would like you to complete this brief, 3-5 minute, survey. Your feedback is important.
Marketing Roundtable
Tuesday, June 10
SPARK Central
330 East Liberty, Lower Level, Ann Arbor
5pm - 7pm

Return on Marketing Investment: Get the Most Bang for the Buck

John Wannamaker famously complained, "I know I'm wasting 50% of my marketing budget, I just don't know which 50%!" Wannamaker wanted a better return on investment (ROI). Sound familiar?

Learn how behavioral marketing techniques measure desired customer behaviors and tie them back to specific media and messaging stimuli. Explore marketing-ROI challenges and solutions, from small pay-per-click campaigns through sprawling media events.

Their Knights of the Marketing Roundtable will present case studies, how-to's, and how-not-to's and take your questions on causality and accountability.

Assembling the Right Team at the Right Time
Wednesday, June 11
SPARK Central
330 East Liberty, Lower Level, Ann Arbor
5pm -7pm

Building the right management team for your start-up company is key to its success. Positions like CEO, CMO and CFO can often be particularly tough to fill. When is the right time to bring in a CEO? How about a CFO? If you are approaching commercialization, when do you bring in your sales and marketing team? These questions and others like 'how do I recruit the best talent' and 'how far in advance should I start looking' will be addressed by our panelists, a CEO building a team in Ann Arbor, a commercial head who recently relocated here and a recruiter with experience building teams from both inside and out.

Bring your questions and be part of this valuable session!
