Michigan Early Stage Investment Fund

Venture capital plays a critical role in the formation of new jobs, new businesses, and new industries in the Ann Arbor area and throughout Michigan. 

The proposed legislation should significantly improve the amount of capital available to Michigan’s early stage companies, which will further develop and diversify our state’s economy.  This legislation also utilizes a financially responsible method of leveraging tax credits.

The Ann Arbor Area Chamber views this as the first of many ways that we can all work together to improve the conditions for early stage businesses in Michigan.  We support legislation to establish the Michigan Early Stage Investment Fund.
